One Old Horse, 8x10, oil on linen panel

This is an oldtimer, for sure.

It's Memorial Day. Thank you to all the men and women who have and are keeping our country safe and our freedom secure!

Git Along Lil Dogies, 10x8, oil on linen panel

This is from over by Saratoga. And it was the most common kind of traffic jam you'll find in Wyoming - right down the middle of the road.

Here's Looking At You, 10x8, oil on linen panel

Well, we had a little snow yesterday - the mountain looks pretty white and the fire in the wood burner sure felt good last night. I keep thinking I'll get outside to paint, but maybe not yet. Its windy today. But sunny . . . and tomorrow is supposed to be warmer, so maybe . . .

This funny little calf is on ebay for 10 days. Thanks!

Remnants Of Winter At Boxelder Creek, 8x10, oil on linen panel

I really like this painting - mostly the color and loose quality of the paint. I think I stopped just in time.

On ebay tonight.

Summer Cottonwoods, 11x14, oil on linen panel

I'm currently loving painting trees with foliage again - must be time! Of course these are from last year, our cottonwoods are just barely beginning to show some green. In a few weeks they'll be looking more like this, so there will most likely be more to come.

On eBay tonight.

Morning Time, 11x14, oil on linen panel

I'm not sure if this was lesson time - age imparting wisdom to youth - or just being disturbed on a sunny morning, but either way I thought it made a great scene. These guys have moved on to mountain pastures already. I hope they're back in the fall.

Starts on ebay tonight. Thanks!

Evening Breeze, 11x14, oil on linen panel

A couple of the horses down the road. The one on the right is really old. I've never seen such an old horse. There's something very sweet about it though. When I was watching this group, these two stayed together the whole time. It seemed like they were best of friends.

On ebay tonight, for 10 days.

Road To Summer, 9x12, oil on linen panel

Ahh . . . summer. It is somewhere down the road, although around here it seems likely to never come! 32 degrees and snowing in the middle of May! Welcome to springtime in the Rockies, as they say.

This little bit of looking forward is available on ebay.

Against All Odds, 9x12, oil on linen panel

I like this old pine tree. I wonder how old it is? I wonder why it no longer has needles? We came across it while hunting last fall and I had to photograph it! It stands against wind, storms, heat and cold . . . reminds me of the man who built his house upon the Rock.

This will be on ebay tonight. Just click on the title and it should take you to the home page.

The Young And The Restless, 11x14, oil on linen panel

Aren't these guys something! Curious, but ready to bolt. I'm having a great time painting cows and calves lately. I've been getting more grounded in the process - I don't feel quite so much like I don't know what I'm doing until the end. Hope you like them! This will be on ebay tonight. Thanks!

We Three, 12x9, oil on linen panel

Some longhorn calves from down the road. This will be on ebay tonight. As always, you can click on the title to go to the ebay home page.

Here We Come, 9x12, oil on linen panel

These horses are pasturing down the road from us. They're fun to see. There's actually about seven of them and they make a great scene with their different color coats.

Summer Skies, 9x12, oil on linen panel

These buildings are situated about half way between my house and the town of Glenrock. I've painted them from all angles and times of day. In this scene, I particularly liked the way the clouds give direction and movement to the painting.

On ebay tonight. Thanks!

Open Range, 8x10, oil on linen panel

This is from around the town of Medicine Bow, Wyoming. As you can see, its pretty wide open! It will be on ebay tonight.

A Low Barn, 9x12, oil on linen panel

I love the relaxed feel of this scene. It seems to invite me in to have a lazy afternoon of reading in the sun. Not that I have those very often, but I like to think about them! On ebay tonight.
