This is also from Lodi. It was "docked" here on the bank of this little pond that was part of an old homestead museum. It was such a restful scene I had to paint it.
I've been doing some paintings from my trip to California earlier in the summer. This was a great barn. They seem to have lots of them like this, unlike the style we have here.
This is a shot of our little gallery located in an old hotel. We try to change out the work every few months and just got it done. Its a great little place and if you're ever in Glenrock, Wyoming you should stop in.
This is the finished painting. It will go into a window instead of a frame so I had to make sure it fit - which it will if I take it off the stretcher bars and staple it to the window frame instead. My favorite part of this painting is the warm orange in the foreground.
These two horses were so peaceful, just waiting for their riders on a beautiful summer evening. Some of this is improvised; it was fun to make it up, using my imagination.
This is the block in for a painting that will be part of a fundraiser for the Angels Program and Cancer Resource Center here in Casper. This will be framed by an old wood framed window. I've wanted to paint some backlit clouds for a while and it seemed like a good time to give it a try.
This is a view a little further out from the sagebrush hillside. Its beautiful all year, but especially now when the grasses are varying colors and textures. Getting a little more paint on there and thats good.
It was a chilly morning around here yesterday. Some friends came to my house and we painted from the deck. Definitely felt like fall. This is the view to the east. I think I'll be painting rabbit brush for awhile.
This is one of my favorites! I like the view and I like the sun bathed ground. Also, the haphazard spikiness of the bushes. What a great place to paint! I hope to return to this spot for more. There was a painting in every direction. Awesome!
This view is in back of a friend's house in Glendo. It's a pretty big hill to get up, but worth it once you get up there! She drove up in a Ranger and I was chicken and walked up the scarey places.
