At The Foot Of The Mountain, 8x10 oil on canvas panel

Its been a while since I posted. This is the crazy time of the year for me. Three shows on 2 weekends and all three involving painting at each place - quick draws and demos. Its lots of fun, but my brain gets a little mushy! And of course needing new paintings for each one. The Wyoming Plein Air Event kicks off Sunday the 1st and runs for 2 weeks. Then Deer Creek Days is the weekend of the 6th and 7th. And the Douglas Invitational Art Show and Sale is the 13th, 14th and 15th. Whew! So, I'll be posting as often as I can, hopefully with photos from each event. Hope you're having a great summer!

Overlooking The Neighbor's Place, 8x10 oil on linen panel

Last Light, 10x8, oil on linen panel

First light and last light are so unique to their place in the day. So full of hope and promise . . . The deer always come down to drink at these times. And so too, do we need to come and drink deeply of the Lord and His Spirit and Word. Let the water of the Word wash you clean from the dust of the day. Let His Spirit refresh your soul before you hit the pillow. Let Him fill you with His strength and wisdom before you begin the new day . . . drink deeply. Let him who thirsts come.

Cool Drink On A Hot Day, 11x14, oil on linen panel

These cows were out back of our place. I wanted to paint outside but it was far too windy that day, so I painted them from the studio window.

This painting can be purchased through ebay. Just click on the title to be taken to the ebay homepage. Thanks!

Spring Run-off, 9x12, oil on linen panel

We had a lot of rain this spring. This is the creek out back of my house when it was over it's banks for a week or so. It was really pretty actually. Most of the year we don't see the water in it, but we sure have this year!

On ebay. Just click on the title to go to the ebay homepage. Thanks!

The Ferris Mountains, 9x12, oil on Wallis sand paper

Still some snow up there when this was painted - earlier in June. I think all the snow might be gone by now.

Out At Alcova, 9x12, oil on Wallis sand paper

This was done out at Alcova Lake on a windy day. We packed up just after my easel almost blew over.

One Old Horse, 8x10, oil on linen panel

This is an oldtimer, for sure.

It's Memorial Day. Thank you to all the men and women who have and are keeping our country safe and our freedom secure!

Git Along Lil Dogies, 10x8, oil on linen panel

This is from over by Saratoga. And it was the most common kind of traffic jam you'll find in Wyoming - right down the middle of the road.

Here's Looking At You, 10x8, oil on linen panel

Well, we had a little snow yesterday - the mountain looks pretty white and the fire in the wood burner sure felt good last night. I keep thinking I'll get outside to paint, but maybe not yet. Its windy today. But sunny . . . and tomorrow is supposed to be warmer, so maybe . . .

This funny little calf is on ebay for 10 days. Thanks!

Summer Cottonwoods, 11x14, oil on linen panel

I'm currently loving painting trees with foliage again - must be time! Of course these are from last year, our cottonwoods are just barely beginning to show some green. In a few weeks they'll be looking more like this, so there will most likely be more to come.

On eBay tonight.
