Apples to Apples 2, 6x6, oil on panel
$30 sold
This painting was done immediately after yesterday's. Both were painted outside on my deck on a rare warm day for January. The first was done with the palette knife. Between paintings I received an order of new brushes and wasn't going to open them right away. I changed my mind, opened them and, voila, this is the result of new brushes. I hadn't realized how long it had been since using new brushes - so nice to have new ones!

I love that you attempt the same subject more than once. It is a great example of the possibilities one scene can have. That's exactly why it doesn't matter if everything has already been painting. It hasn't been painted by you and it definitely hasn't been painted by you in all the different ways it can be painted.
Lush brushwork. You captured the light on these gems

Thank you Tam and Elisha! I think I'm going to do a better job of keeping new brushes on hand. What a difference!
