Here is another branding painting. From the same time as the other. I had a little trouble with the cowboy at first, but I think it came out okay. I would like to make a larger painting of this also. I am finding painting almost daily to be a great way to challenge myself. It is motivating to know I'm going to post a painting and someone is going to be seeing it. I am finding that I can return to favorite subjects again and again or even paint the same scene again to see if I can do a better job. There is a quote from Eugene Delacroix on my drawing board that says:
"What moves men of genius, or rather what inspires their work, is not new ideas, but their obsession with the idea that what has already been said is still not enough."

I think these last two would make excellent larger paintings! I understand the challenge and am trying for larger myself. I think the key is giant brushes and piles of paint!
